Using an EEG brain sensor we are looking at how the brain reacts to the sounds and images that are presented before us and how these images and sounds change based on the participants electrical activity of the brain. From a conceptual standpoint we are looking at how technical interfaces are being used to monitor human cognition.  OBLSK will be premiering BRAIN at the Blockfort Columbus March 2019

RainCloud: Beauty, Awe, and Success,

cloud_over_city.jpg

RainCloud was presented at the IDX fest this last weekend Sept. 16th and 17th. and was a huge success! RainCloud is a floating augmented high-tech installation as well as a symbol of the natural environment; a reminder of the simple beauty found in our atmosphere and the never-ending cycle of water between ground and sky.

This simulated cloud floats 18 feet from the ground in an outdoor environment, and is illuminated from within using RGB LED lights. During the day, it  shimmers due to the reflective, iridescent qualities of its outer skin while at night it glows equally as brilliant by using artificial light. Glowing from within, the RainCloud changes color based on interaction from the audience (attendees of the arts festival) and/or based on environmental changes in its surroundings in real time. The RainCloud acts as a stage for performance, music, and education.

The H2Ohio panel discussion was a tremendous success bringing together  of array of studies on freshwater. The panel discussed Ohio Freshwater on a Global Scale and talked about the state of water locally, nationally, and globally. The discussion focused specifically in the areas of environmental protection, economics and industry, health and well being, and the future outlook of water.  We were honored to have such a passionate, intelligent, and thoughtful panel. Panel consisted of Jason Cervenec, Elissa Yoder Mann, Dr. Ben Warnock, and Cheryl Johncox
